We are Helen and Tony and we wish you a warm welcome to the website of our home and gite in the beautiful Dordogne.
Chez Hirondelles offers relaxing holidays either by self-catering - our gite caters easily for up to 6 people, or bed and breakfast - in our home - for up to 5 people.
With Perigueux 40 minutes to the east, Bordeaux 100 minutes to the west, and Limoges 120 minutes to the north east, Chez Hirondelles is ideally placed for exploring this region.
Getting here
Chez Hirondelles is delightfully situated on the Dordogne/Charente border, just south of the D20 between Riberac and Aubeterre in a quiet country setting.
By car we are approximately 340 miles from Caen, 400 miles from Cherbourg and 500 miles from Calais. By air the nearest airports are Bergerac at an hours drive south; Bordeuax at two hours south west; Limoges at two hours north east; and Poiters at two hours ten mimutes to the north.

Accommodation
Our home, formally a farm, has recently been renovated to offer both 'gite' and 'chambres d'hote' (B&B)
accommodation.
Our gite caters for up to six people plus baby and is equipped with all the modern conveniences required to make your stay both relaxing and comfortable.
Our bed and breakfast facilities include one double bedroom and one twin (triple if required) bedroom, both with en-suite facilities. A 'Continental' style breakfast is included - a 'full' English breakfast can be ordered if required. We can also provide 'packed lunches' and evening meals should you wish.
